There are three things I lean on most in my work: empathy, composition, and comfort. Empathy, because the best photos come from really seeing someone. Composition, because I love the craft of it — building an image that feels balanced and intentional. And comfort, because none of it lands if you're not at ease. That's the work, for me. Paying attention, building something beautiful, and making sure you actually enjoy the process.
Whether it’s a city wedding in Philly, an intimate celebration in the Poconos, a chill wedding in Lehigh valley or a relaxed venue outside the city, I create space for you to be fully present while I quietly document the moments and details that matter.
Effortless, soulful, and softly distinctive—made with you in mind.
I've always been drawn to the in-between moments — the ones that happen when nobody's performing. A quiet glance, an unfiltered laugh, the kind of thing that's gone before you even think to reach for your camera.
Weddings are where I feel most at home, because no day is more full of them.
I've spent years learning to really see — how light shifts the feeling of a room, how a single frame becomes a story. That obsession never went away. It's just how I see the world now.
But the thing I'm most known for? Making people feel so at ease they forget there's a camera in the room. Most of my couples become genuine friends. I don't think that's an accident — it's kind of the whole point.

When we came across Carolyn's portfolio, we were blown away. Her talent is truly unmatched and worth every penny. She beautifully captured our engagement and wedding day photos even when the weather spiked into the mid-90s. She is able to photograph both posed and natural moments. We also loved that she respected our desire for a private first look/vows and captured the moment from a distance. The day went by quickly, but with her photos, we can relive the best day of our lives over and over again.
Her Talent is truly unmatched......

We were so happy with our engagement photos that we were not at all surprised by our amazing wedding photos. What did surprise us was the care we were shown all day. Carolyn and her partner gave so much attention to detail and it really felt like they were family at our wedding! We could not be happier with the memories that were captured on our special day.

Where do I start! Carolyn was such a pleasure to have part of our special day. Her photos are gorgeous, and my husband and I have reflected several times how subtly Carolyn was able to capture all of the important moments in an authentic and beautiful way. Her photos are ones we will cherish forever. Not for nothing either, we had a very low key elopement and picnic celebration, and she was able to capture the day in a way that felt accurate, and also elevated. Her work is impeccable and she was such a joy to have with us for our day. 5/5, highly recommend to anyone looking for someone with gorgeous taste and eye! :)

Carolyn is the absolute best of the best. My fiancé and I had never had professional photos taken and both considered ourselves not photogenic and generally awkward in front of a camera! But Carolyn made us feel so comfortable and confident immediately. She just knows what she's doing and it was such a natural, flawless experience. She captures real moments authentically and it shows in the photos. The amount of comments we've gotten saying how insanely beautiful the photos are speaks for itself and many wedding guests also commented on how lovely and easygoing she was. She was the best vendor decision we made for our wedding! :) Our photos are SO amazing I just can't even put it into words!

I shoot both film and digital — and yes, you can feel the difference. Warm, a little imperfect, and it makes photos look like memories instead of just images.
Some of my favorite frames from any wedding end up on a roll of 35mm or 120mm. If you're drawn to that look — grainy, luminous, timeless — we're going to get along great.
Not if you do't want to!. I try and keep formal portraits to a minimum — just the ones you'll actually want, done quickly so we can get back to the real stuff. A good portion of your gallery will be, in-the-moment images that look like your day actually felt. Limited lineups, and forced smiles. If you're the kind of couple who'd rather be laughing than posing, we're going to get along great.
This is genuinely my favorite thing to hear — because it means you haven't been photographed the right way yet. My number one job is making you feel so comfortable you forget I'm even there. I focus on the real moments hanging out with you on the best day of your life, paying attention. The couples who say they're the least photogenic always end up with the photos they love the most. I've been doing this since 2011 — trust the process.
Digital gives you sharp, consistent, beautifully edited images — it's the backbone of your gallery. Film adds something you genuinely can't replicate digitally: warmth, grain, a slightly imperfect quality that makes photos look like memories instead of just images. I shoot both, and I love mixing them. Film isn't required(though included) , but if you're drawn to that timeless, analog look — it's worth adding. We can talk through what makes sense for your day.
You'll get a sneak peek within a few days — I know the wait is hard.
For the full gallery, I'll be honest: it takes time, and I think that's okay. I hand-select and personally edit every single image, going through your whole day frame by frame to make sure you have a beautifully curated story. I'm also a mom with a full life, and I'd rather be upfront about that than overpromise.
Turnaround is up to 12 weeks. When your gallery lands, every image will have had my full attention. That's a promise I can actually keep.
Not every photographer is right for every couple — and that's okay. Style is subjective, and approaches vary more than most people realize.
I'm a mix of documentary, cinematic, and traditional — which I think is what most couples actually want. I'll blend into the background and capture what's real, but I also know how to find the light and guide you when you need it, without it ever feeling like a photoshoot. The result: candid chaos, quiet moments, and portraits you'll actually want to frame.
My editing is warm, natural, and timeless — true to the light that was actually there. No heavy presets, no trending aesthetics. Just real, with intention. If my portfolio resonated with you, that's a good sign. If it didn't, that's useful information too.
I've been shooting since 2011, I keep my calendar small, and I am not a wedding factory. When you book me, you get me — not an associate, not someone you've never met. You know exactly who's walking through that door.
Every package is customized to your day — no fluff, no pressure. Pick what makes sense for you. Prices are transparent because you deserve to know what you're getting into.

how it works
Here's what actually happens when you book me.
We talk.
Not a sales call — a real conversation. I want to know how you met, what you're nervous about, what matters most on the day, and if your dog is the flower girl.
I blend in.
No barking directions. I show up calm, make you feel completely at ease, and stay present so nothing worth remembering slips by.
Real friends.
A lot of my couples stay in touch long after the wedding. I do this because I love it — and honestly, that love shows up in every single frame.
They look like you.
Candid moments, genuine laughter, the stuff you'll want on your wall. Real photos of moments turned memories.
Let's make something
worth keeping.
I keep my calendar small on purpose. No associates, no generic wedding factory vibes — just me, fully present, at every single wedding. If that sounds like your kind of photographer, I'd love to hear from you.
